What each brand says its laptops warranty covers and excludes
Taken from each brand’s own India warranty terms; the wording differs, so read the brand page before assuming coverage.
- Apple: Defects covered by the Apple One (1) Year Limited Warranty on Apple-branded hardware; service is routed through Apple or an Apple Authorised Service Provider. Accidental-damage cover is not part of the standard warranty.
- LG: Free repair at LG authorised service centres within the warranty period; first purchaser only, non-transferable, proof of purchase with model/serial number required. Extended part warranties (compressors, motors) cover parts only — labour and service charges stay payable.
- Xiaomi: Manufacturing defects on the main device, covering labour and parts. Battery, adapter and other packaged accessories carry a shorter period than the device.
- HP: Parts and labour for hardware defects; the warranty code on each HP India listing (e.g. 1/1/0 or 1/1/1) shows parts/labour/on-site. Does not cover accidental damage or software problems such as malware.
- Dell: Warranty length and service level (depot or on-site) depend on the plan chosen at purchase; check your service tag on Dell support for the exact entitlement.
- Lenovo: Defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, counted from the purchase date on the invoice or receipt. Length and service type vary by model, so check the Lenovo India warranty lookup for your serial number.
