How to track your Zepto order
Step-by-step
- Open the Zepto app after placing the order.
- The live tracking screen shows picking, packing and rider assignment in real time.
- Follow the rider on the map; the ETA updates as they move.
- Use Help on the order for missing, damaged or delayed cases.
What each status means
- Ordered / ConfirmedPayment (or COD) accepted; the seller has the order but nothing has shipped yet.
- PackedThe item is boxed and a courier AWB (airway bill number) has usually been generated.
- Shipped / In transitThe parcel is moving between courier hubs. Multi-day gaps between scans are normal on long lanes.
- Out for deliveryOn a delivery vehicle in your area — most Indian couriers attempt between 9am and 9pm.
- DeliveredMarked handed over. If you did not receive it, dispute the same day — false-delivery windows are short.
- RTO / Returned to originDelivery failed (address, repeated attempts, refusal) and the parcel is heading back to the seller; prepaid orders get refunded after it reaches origin.
Who delivers Zepto orders
Shipments commonly move via Zepto rider network (own fleet). The courier named on your order page is authoritative — partners vary by pincode, seller and product size.
Frequently asked questions
- Why is my Zepto order stuck on "packing"?
- The dark store is working through a queue — packing normally takes minutes, and surges push the ETA up-front rather than mid-way. The screen refreshes the promise as the queue clears.
- Does Zepto have an AWB or courier tracking number?
- No — deliveries are by Zepto’s own riders from a nearby dark store, tracked live on the in-app map instead of hub scans.
- What happens if my Zepto rider can’t find my address?
- The rider calls the number on the order; keep it reachable. Failed hand-offs are cancelled and refunded per the app’s flow rather than re-attempted next day.
